The clients for this build, came to us with their own set of plans.

Before construction could begin, we were required to remove the existing dwelling and clear the site.

Even though the block is relatively flat we still had a few challenges. The house is constructed over a storm water main requiring us to construct a bridge over storm water.  Being an older site it also had a combination sewer and we were required to liaise with engineers, surveyors, plumbers and QUU to get a new connection into the nearest main sewer line.

This big home has two large voids, one over the kitchen/main living area and one over the front entry with the stair well.

With four bedrooms, three bathrooms, media room, office and kids retreat this home has plenty of space.

RESIDENTIAL EXTENSION SEVEN HILLS

Breaking through three meters of rock to construct a basement garage with workshop. We constructed a suspended slab over the garage to build up two extra levels, tying into the original house creating a new ‘wing’. The new extension gave our client a master retreat with walk in robe and en-suite on the top level. On the middle level the grand entrance with guest bathroom and living area. The new kitchen looking out over the backyard flowing out on to the new deck.

The clients came to us with certified plans and we helped them bring their vision to life.

Newman Steel and Aluminium Fabrication custom made all handrails, balustrade and screening.

This site had a few challenges; Firstly the block was sloping with a narrow street which limited access.  The other challenge that we overcame was the 3 meters of rock that we had to dig through to make way for the basement level.

The block that we constructed this house on had a unique shape and gradient.

Working closely with the client and draftsman, a family home was created to make the best use of the block and create a large living space for a growing family.

Working closely with the client for the duration of the build meant that changes could be made to the design to take full advantage of space and visual elements.  We understand that at times what is on paper may not look how you imagined once constructed, these changes were made easily with minimal expense, because we are hands on builders.

RENOVATION | EXTENSION PROJECT – MAJESTIC OUTLOOK

MULTIPLE LEVEL EXTENSION AND FULL RENOVATION

Our clients had managed to find a property in the suburb that they had dreamed of owning in. The house was small and tired and did not meet their living requirements for space or lifestyle.  The block was sloping with no access from the front of the property, so we had to negotiate access from the rear.

With this particulate project, the client provided us with plans that they had designed by their architect.  Working together with the client and the architect, Newman Homes brought to life their vision.

Specialising in challenging sites we were very excited to accept this challenging renovation | extension in MAJESTIC OUTLOOK.

This project allowed Newman Homes to utilise our various areas of expertise from earthworks to carpentry and also structural steel fabrication.

Upstairs shows off three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas and large kitchen with a butlers pantry and entertaining timber deck.

Downstairs shows off a two bedroom unit with a deck looking out over the pool.

Newman Homes was commissioned to construct two identical houses side by side. As investment properties it was important not only to be upmarket but of course be on budget and on time.  These three factors where achieved.

With the nature of the block we were required to construct two multi level dwellings with a suspended slab.
